Holy Trinity Is Searching for a Part-Time Rector.

We seek a leader who will help us see our potential, understand and reinvent ourselves, and move forward with new energy and purpose into a future that can be dreamed and achieved.

Among our new rector’s most valued roles/qualities are:

  • Leadership to create a new vision for Holy Trinity as a 21st century parish

  • Strength in relating to all generations, but particularly to young people

  • Strength in pastoral care and counseling

  • Strength in liturgy and sermons

  • Leadership in outreach to our community.

The most important skills of our new Rector encompass a leader who is:

  • Able to open parishioners up to new points of view, blending biblical and modern ecumenical scholarship

  • Able to bring harmony to our multigenerational family

  • Representative of a more ecumenical and eclectic theology (leader in change)

Our parishioners seek a Rector who professes Jesus Christ as Lord, shares a meaningful prayer life, and empowers the people of our church family to serve God in the world.

We know that the future of the Episcopal Church depends upon loving and serving our neighbors as ourselves, and by embracing Presiding Bishop Michael Curry’s urging to join the Jesus Movement: “the church moving forth, taking evangelism seriously. Personal service and public witness and advocacy is what we do; that’s the Jesus movement.”

Our parishioners cherish Holy Trinity’s family atmosphere, and want to grow without losing our close relationship with one another. We want our new Rector to help us be strong in faith, demonstrative in outreach, and caring of the needs of our own parish family and or the community in which we live.  (And if this person walks on water we have the Great Unsalted Sea close by.)
